Causes

Black Mountain cares about giving back to our community. Below are a few of the causes that we are proud to be a part of.

CASA volunteers are the champions of foster children in the Oregon court system. Appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, CASA workers make sure that the children they serve are not lost or forgotten within the social service system. Volunteers stay with their case until it is closed - frequently, the CASA workers are the one permanent adult presence in the lives of the foster kids.

Cassie's Angels is a fundraiser dedicated to raising money for Cassie, a young girl from Clackamas County who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a very rare form of children's cancer. Cassie's Angels was founded to help her family with costs and to take time off work to be with their daughter during her treatments. Additionally, a portion of proceeds is returned to children's cancer research efforts, to help ensure that no other children have to go through what Cassie has experienced.
