Full Fund Accounting – with a double-entry system based on the OPI Chart of Accounts.
Multiple Accounting Periods – Allows multiple periods to be open at one time (including at fiscal year end) to facilitate balancing and closing while still getting your current transactions completed. A 13th month is available for year end adjustments.
Ledgers updated immediately – documents are posted when created providing accurate reports for any time period.
Balanced Accounting Entries – One-sided entries cannot be posted. The system requires that there is an appropriate offset to each accounting entry. Except for Journal Vouchers all transactions will supply correct offset accounting.
Full Integration – School Vouchers done in School Ledger automatically update the County School Funds in Accounting. A101 entry, Journal Vouchers and Check Redemption automatically update School Ledger. All transactions are entered only one time in the system – you never need to make duplicate entries in another application.
Document Editing and Cancellation – A one-step process. No manual journal vouchers required. The accounting entries are automatically reversed. Editing and reposting is simple.
Automatic Import & Export of School Warrants – Upload warrants from a School District by disk or email into the School Ledger system. Speeds up check redemption and allows for an Outstanding Warrant report for the school district. Export redeemed warrants back to the school district by disk or email which allows the school to automate their warrant redemption process.
Tax Levies Detail – Tax Levies for the school districts are maintained in School Ledger. When levies are entered, it automatically checks the Tax program mill amounts to be sure they match and updates them if they do not. Allows for sample fund distributions to be run only for schools.
Direct Document Scanning – For Example: selecting the scan button on the School Voucher entry form automatically scans and attaches school clerk letters to the voucher record for instant viewing. Scanning is available for many kinds of system records – Journal Vouchers, Cash receipts, Claims, Vendor, etc.
School Report Packages – Standard school report package included that has the most popular reports requested by the Schools. Report packages can also be customized. The package feature allows for one-step printing or emailing of reports at month-end.
Security – Each application provides multiple levels of security to control access to the software functions. Allow access to all functions or limit to specific menus, fields and commands.
Fiscal Year Beginning – Create Expenditure, Revenue and balance sheet line items in minutes.
Add New Receivable Accounts – Adds new tax receivable accounts automatically based on the tax receivable account that was used the prior year. Eliminates hand entering new receivable accounts for each school and each fund.
Cash Transaction Reconciliation – Month end reconciliation with the Accounting school funds is quick with the help of several key reports that compare information posted to Accounting with information posted to School Ledger.
